Nordic Pole Walking
| Nordic Pole Walking is taking a strong hold here in Minnesota. Many people have found that they have improved posture and overall toning with Nordic Walking. By performing the proper Nordic Walking technique you can burn up to 46% more calories than that of regular walking because you are using 90% of your muscles. It is a very good cardio workout and will help tone your arms and strengthen your back. Your core will improve and of course your legs will love the fact that you are distributing some of the workload to your arms. You can Nordic Walk anywhere either alone or with others, on any kind of terrain, even indoor carpeting. Specially designed Nordic Walking Poles are provided for use in class. Please wear comfortable shoes. Training is on carpeted surfaces. *Optional, Nordic Poles are available for purchase from instructor.
